Love&Hate Letter to Barbie

My passion for fashion came whilst I played with my beloved Barbie dolls, their colours, prints, femininity, perfection and positivity were a big deal for me during my childhood and teenage years.

Later, I started fighting those stereotypes, wanting to overcome what was expected of us girls and started wearing masculine clothes, using black as an identifier and rebelling against that positivity to fight in the reality of the industry.

Those two sides within ourselves is what I try to represent in this collection. The fight has always lingered within, but I want to accept that I am both and I want them to work together as one to be stronger in the future.
